Identity, Culture & LGBTQIA+
Affirming Therapy and Coaching

Understanding who you are does not happen in isolation. Identity is shaped through culture, relationships, family history, sexuality, community, and the environments we move through.

Many people come to therapy feeling pulled between different parts of themselves — cultural expectations, family loyalty, relationship dynamics, sexuality, or a sense of belonging that has never fully felt settled.

I provide culturally attuned and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy and coaching for adults and teens navigating identity development, relational healing, and intersectional life experiences. My work supports clients in building clarity, self-trust, and relationships that reflect who they truly are.

All services are offered via virtual therapy sessions for clients in Washington State and

coaching sessions for clients worldwide.

When Identity and Belonging Feel Complicated

You may be navigating questions such as:

  • Feeling disconnected from cultural or racial identity

  • Navigating interracial or intercultural relationships

  • Reconciling sexuality with family, cultural, or religious expectations

  • Exploring bisexual or fluid sexual identity

  • Navigating consensual non-monogamy or alternative relationship structures

  • Healing attachment wounds connected to identity experiences

  • Balancing multiple cultural or relational roles

  • Experiencing identity shifts during life transitions

  • Exploring adoption and identity intersections

  • Seeking deeper authenticity in relationships and self-expression

These experiences are often layered and deeply personal. Therapy and coaching can provide space to explore them with curiosity, safety, and clarity.

My Approach to Multicultural and LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care

I practice as an integrative therapist, drawing from attachment science, trauma-informed care, and systems-based models of healing.

My work is grounded in:

Attachment and Relational Healing

Understanding how early relationships, family systems, and cultural experiences shape identity and connection patterns.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Helping clients understand and integrate different parts of themselves that may hold conflicting identity experiences, shame, or protective patterns.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Supporting clients and partners in creating safer emotional bonds and strengthening relationship security.

Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)

Supporting teens and families in strengthening attachment, emotional safety, and identity development.

Culturally and Feminist Attuned Therapy

Exploring how power, social systems, culture, and identity influence personal and relational experiences.

If you live outside Washington State, I offer identity and relationship coaching nationwide, providing supportive, growth-focused services that do not require therapy licensure in your state.

Sexuality and Relationship Diversity Affirming Care

  • I support individuals, partners, and relationship systems exploring diverse expressions of sexuality and relational structure, including:

  • Bisexual and fluid sexual identity

  • Consensual non-monogamy (CNM) and polyamorous relationships

  • Kink-affirming relational exploration

  • Sexual intimacy and identity integration

  • Navigating disclosure and relational boundaries

  • Healing shame connected to sexuality or identity

As a therapist who identifies as bisexual and is personally familiar with consensual non-monogamy relationship frameworks, I bring both professional and lived understanding to this work while maintaining a clinically grounded and ethically attuned therapeutic space.

Multicultural Identity and Intersectional Experiences

Cultural identity development can be shaped by race, ethnicity, adoption, immigration history, spirituality, and relational environments.

I support clients navigating:

Transracial and transnational adoption identity

Racial identity development

Bicultural and third culture identity experiences

Interracial and intercultural relationship dynamics

Cultural belonging and identity integration

Religious or spiritual identity conflict

White identity exploration and accountability work

While my practice includes adoption-informed identity care, this page focuses on broader multicultural and intersectional identity experiences.
